Set limits before you chase a feeling
Licensed UK sites must offer deposit limits, session reminders and self-exclusion options. Set a weekly spend you can afford to lose before you open the lobby. If you are raising limits to “get even”, that is a stop signal, not a strategy.
GAMSTOP
GAMSTOP is the free national online self-exclusion scheme for Great Britain. Once you are registered for a chosen period, participating licensed operators should refuse you access. It is stronger than deleting an app from your phone.
Talk to people who are trained for this
GamCare runs advice and the National Gambling Helpline. GambleAware publishes guidance and directions to treatment. The UK Gambling Commission explains how licensing and complaints pathways work.
Warning signs I take seriously
- Hiding play from people close to you
- Borrowing to fund sessions
- Feeling restless or irritable when you try to stop
- Chasing losses with larger stakes
If any of those sound familiar, pause and use the organisations above. Harbour and Felt cannot counsel you personally — we can only point to the proper doors.
